Boy, you certainly paint a great picture of a wonderful meal and evening.
There are certainly some finer things in life.

If I understand you correctly, you are saying that nude sun bathing and
diving don't necessarily go hand in hand. But, if they could, do you have
any suggestions as to places in the two areas that I mentioned that would be
at the top of your list. Our trips are not driven by diving alone, but, we
certainly would like to go somewhere where the diving is better than
average. We have dived in Bonaire and Belize.

Any insight that you can provide is appreciated. Thanks for your response.

Peter

We just returned from Yap and Palau. The diving is outstanding! Sunbathing
in the nude may be possible on outer islands, however, in the primary
tourist areas would be frowned upon as these are modest societies. If you
are experienced divers and can dive safely in a fast current, the Blue
Corner is spectacular. We also found Siaes Point to be really wonderful.
There are lots of pelagics and the water is clean, clear, and usually good
viz.

What time of year are you planning to go? You need to check on wet seasons for all your plans. Also, Thailand is not the place to go nude - topless is accepted in major places like Phuket/Samui/Pattaya as they have got used to it but I personally like to read up on the culture of the place I visit and so if it offends don't do it. You might want to look on the lonely planet guide and get some info on the areas you want to go.

Diving wise, Thailand has fantastic dives in The Similans (Oct/Nov through to early May) you won't see much better. Dec/Jan they have manta ray, whale sharks and other biggies.

Samui/Tao have good diving but not great - you might find that small area to strip but I haven't seen it!

Good luck
