Default koh samui

Anyone with recent experience of Koh Samui care to recommend a dive centre
and/or resort?

If your going to samui i use to work DIVE IN DEEP in chewang. its a small dive
centre in the centre of town . Its run by an american lady called anna and her
thai husband "P-sit".they run small trips out from samui to all the local dive
sites and were reasonably priced . I say small trips I mean maybe 10 people
tops rarther than 30 - 40 on some of the boats. . any way there you have it .
to find it ask a local for The Chewang Gardens" and its on left as you
approach the complex and theres an office on the beach. I will point out the
shop girls tend to be thai so ask to talk to Anna or and english speaking
instructor.
Hop this helps and if you do go say hi to anna from Ian

All dive sites are closer to Koh Tao, not Samui. It takes 1.5hr by
speed boat from Samui to the dive sites each way. Better stay in Koh
Tao.

Never been there myself but an old friend of mine that I taught to
dive in Edinburgh, Mike Kerr, is the office manager out there for
Planet Scuba www.planet-scuba.com and I trust him

I also found dive sites around Samui/Koh Tao are only average at best.
You get better value if you go to Perhentians or Puerto Galera.
