| We dived last August from Phuket/Chalong (with www.sea-bees.com) last August and dived most days, including our 12 year old daughter. There was an odd day when it was a bit rougher than normal but only one day in the while 2 weeks when we did not let our daughter dive, but apart from that was fine. | Phuket of the Andaman Sea/Indian Ocean (western) side of Thailand is off season due to the South West Monsoon. You have to go to places like Pattaya and Koh Samui on the (eastern) South China Sea side. I would recommend Koh Samui - do a google search on the name. | hi rpk, check out the weather conditions for both sides prior to you coming - even though Phuket is out of season it doesn't mean you can't dive. The Similans are probably out, not many dive operators start going until October time. I dived with an operator from Samui (they took us to Koh Tao) info@a-seadivers.com and were great. Sail Rock was also a dive site I really enjoyed and would recommend as well as Chumphon Pinnacle and Shark Island - quite a lot to choose from. |
