Default Thailand - buy gear here or there ???

Going to Phuket in March, and will definitely do some snorkeling, and if I
can get my Padi or SSI OW sorted between now and then, I'l do a dive or two
as well...

Just wondering...if I end up just snorkeling...is it worth be taking my big
Cressi prolite fins and booties...or would i be better to buy a set of full
foot fins over there ??? Like, are the proces for gear cheaper over there
( similar to US prices ) or not ???

I'll take my Tusa Triex Visio mask, and snorkel regaurdless... small enough
to pack no prob...

any help or advice appreciated..

brian

Take your mask because you know it fits.

Take your snorkel because you know whose mouth it's been in.

Take your booties because they may not have any

But you can get fins at your hotel - they may be far inferior to what you
have but it's not the end of the world if you're only snorkelling

Or, if you do your Padi course, they'll have gear to go with it.

I'd do anything other than take a bloody great pair of fins with me.
