that's because there isn't much to say. August is the worst month to
visit Thailand, according to just about every printed source.
Therefore, smart divers avoid visiting Thailand in August. Therefore,
smart divers have no comment on diving in Thailand in August.

You can either solicit information from dumb divers, or better yet,
from people who live there. My advice about the Andaman stands. Your
diving will be in the Gulf. Chilly says that the Gulf diving is
nasty, and I tend to believe her as she normally puts up with
windblown nasty diving in Belize. What else do you want?

I completely disagree. The best months for diving the Gulf of Thailand are
May through August. I was there in early October.

I still don't regret my decision to go. Like I said, I loved the island and
since the OP is a new diver, I'm sure she will like it just fine.

LOL, the diving in Belize is just fine. Don't listen to Greg. He was on
Ambergris Caye one time in the month of May during a monsoon. He had two
dives on a private boat and the divers on it, didn't know where they were
going. If only he'd listened to chilly's advice, I'm sure he'd have had a
much better time and a much better experience. He knows this but likes to
keep trying to tease me . .when it was all his own fault for not taking my
advice.
