| Hi- I am going to Thailand this August in the rainy season:( and wondering where the diving would be the best at this time of year with regards to visibilty etc. I am a novice diver. Many thanks. |

He can always get Giovanni's book "How to dive with an umbrella when it rains". Have you heard of Bali? That's in Thailand. There are also tons of other good diving places in Thailand. As a novice, he should be much more concerned with the undden and unpredictable strong currents rather than getting wet in the rain. Dropping in here for the first time in months to see thast the quality of this group has gone from BAAAAD to VERY VERY BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAD. The rec.scuban killed this group. Few boats venture out in the Andaman during the wet season. There is diving on the Gulf side, but I haven't personally experienced it. |
