| We are thinking of going to Turtle beach, Tobago in October. I'd be grateful for any opinions or advice on the place and the diving. Thanks Mick |

It's also about 20 minutes drive from the nearest towns (Crown Point/Scarborough). In terms of the diving, there's plenty of good stuff on the reefs around the airport end (Crown Point) of the island. Most dives are drifts to some degree, and the visibility tends to be poor for the top 5 metres or so due to water flowing from the Orinocco river and then it clears up below that. Sisters rocks on the Caribbean side were very good - definitely worth a trip. I also went up to Speyside, which was pretty good though it seems there's no longer the high probability of seeing Mantas which it's known for. I dived with Manta dive in Crown Point - I'd certainly recommend them, and they're pretty flexible if there's particular places you want to dive. Feel free to drop me an email if you have any questions Cheers, Steve |
