Ahahahahahaha...

You're implying that guys are messy?

That's so sexist!

Well, "Rita" is male, and "Joan" hasn't revealed his/her sexuality.

My printer is the Epson 4000. See it in the picture there??
You know why I use that printer?
-Because I often create large prints...and wide angle, at that.
You should try it some time.
When you do, you'll discover that those hand-held images you claim are tack
sharp, really aren't.
Heck, even with IS, they'll comparatively benefit from a tripod...but
without one, there are real benefits to IS.
Specifically, the tiny jitters that one has--even with good technique, etc.
BTW--perhaps you could explain this "technique" of yours as you'd apply it
while shooting out the window of a vehicle in which you have no ability to
turn off the motor (example: Denali, Alaska, where you can only access the
park via buses...which are the place you'll most likely run into skads of
wildlife). You can try, but you'll be puffing hot air about your
"technique" because although the body CAN be used as a damper, there are
limits. It is the point at which this limitation kicks in that IS takes up
your slack. IS can literally save the shot. While it's certainly and
obviously true that longer extension shots are more susceptible to camera
motion blur, it is all a matter of degree. Along with the degree to which
focal length effects the perception of blur, so does enlargement. If you
don't go big...practically EVERYONE takes "sharp" images! :)

-But I think you knew that already, and somehow just take joy in trying to
sound like you know something others don't. -Reminds me of little kids on
the playground, with their "I know something you don't know..." line.
Perhaps you should think of a new slogan.

I'm not sure whether he's picked up the Rodisms yet. If you need me
to explain that, I will.

I don't like using the kill file as there's always someone who replies
and I get curious.

I usually see it that way also. In the case of ASAAR, it just isn't worth
the time.
What little I see of him in echo is more than enough to let me know he's not
worth my time.

There's an Aussie wanker called Rod Speed who consistently posts
trite, rude replies, commonly referred to as the speed bot.

If you're game, take a peek at aus.comms.mobile and sort by poster,
you'll get the idea very quickly.

Unfortunately, he infests other groups as well. There are also more
Aussies like him on Usenet. We seem to have quite a high wanker to
normal ratio.

Hey, I is what I is and I'm not telling. Plus, what does gender have to
with anything unless you aren't sure about yours?
