Default Lens Question

I was looking at the Canon EF-S 60mm f/2.8 Macro USM Digital on Amazon.com.
I am still getting used to my 30D and have a question. The Amazon
description of this lens has the following info : "Like all Canon EF-S
Lenses, its use is restricted to the EOS 20D, EOS Digital Rebel and EOS
Digital Rebel XT cameras." I've never heard of a restriction of this type
for Canon lenses to specific bodies. Does this mean it will not work on the
30D?
Thanks for any help
Rob

Yeah, it will work. They just haven't updated their web site.

Or you could buy it from B&H... their 60mm will work with the 30D.

I figured it would, I had just never seen a note like that before.

Thanks for the help.

An EF-S lens will currently work on a 10D 20D 30D or any of the Rebel
(300D 350D or 400D) cameras. A camera with a white dot next to the red
dot on the lens mount will take an EF_S lens

ef-s lenses do not work on a 10d without modification.

While it will work with the 30D, it will not work with the full frame and
1.3x crop sensor bodies like the 5D, 1D series and 1Ds series. EF-S mount
lenses will also not work on 1.6x crop bodies older than the Digital Rebel,
like the 10D and D60. They will work on any 1.6x crop body made from the
Digital Rebel onward.
