Mad Dog Expeditions (http://www.maddogexpeditions.com/welcome.htm) do trips there (and to the Amazon, and to a whole bunch of other places I can't afford to go) but they're a bit on the pricey side... And, on behalf of a colleague here at work, the "trip report" for his recent "unconventional" dive holiday: http://www.thebaobab.com Kev |

It was organised via the works Dive Club. I'm fairly sure omst of the organisation was done themselves except flight booking. HTH DaveA -- Posted via Mailgate.ORG Server - http://www.Mailgate.ORG |

| I organised the whole thing myself and saved everybody about 50% of the cost!! Scuba Safaris quote about £4300 for Bikini alone (6 days)... I did Californian diving, 6 days diving in Honolulu, Bikini and it came in under £3500 for 21 days holiday !! Bikini alone would be £1300 plus airfares - as we were going via Honolulu, we actually went halfway round the world and then some!! If only doing Bikini, I would arrange flights via Guam going East..save time and money!! We flew United to Honolulu via San Francisco and then Continental to Majuro and MA to Bikini. SO - for a good non-profit dive holiday...go with http://www.tuscandivers.com Gordon Mackie |

| Sorry Gordon We do not quote £4300 for Bikini and never have done. Bikini is only £1300 for the week if you fill the island with 10 guests, £1180 if 11 guests. If you are an individual then you pay £1775 for the week. By the way, I like your terms & conditions. Totally illegal, but if people want to pay you, then that is fine... | No need to get upset Jim, to set the record straight, we did get a quote from you for the trip at £4300 when we first started planning it.. from your website this is now indeed cheaper. Our original quote was based on 2 divers and was Bikini for 6 days plus flights, not including the week in Honolulu we added on. Please accept my most profound apologies, you do offer an extremely competitive and good value for money trip to Bikini. I would recommend you to anyone wishing to travel to Bikini or anywhere else From your website :- Airfare 01 July – 31 August 2003: £1670 Bikini £1799 for up to 7 divers £1310 for a large group and a free space making a potential £2980 for 10 divers and £3469 FOR A SMALLER GROUP plus Majuro and Honolulu hotel costs of £70 + £60 Glad you like my terms and conditions - sorry to hear I am breaking the law, thanks for pointing it out, I will get my solicitor to run over it and remove any totally illegal points contained within it.If you could identify which parts contravene Scottish law and which particular law it refers to, it would save me having to pay a solicitor to do it. Thanks again and happy diving - Gordon |

| Hi Gordon I don't recall ever giving you a quote... When?!!! Regarding your terms & conditions, it is not Scottish law that you need to worry about it is the EEC Travel Directive to which ALL travel agents/tour operators etc must adhere. I'll send you an email about it....
