Default Delta 3 Reg problem

Hi,
Have the above stage 2 with the oceanic dx4 1st stage.

Tried it out in the pool yesterday and was getting a strange problem.

If you look down in the water you start getting small?? amounts of water
coming in through I think must be the exhaust valve and can here this water
coming in. In the straight ahead position all is fine , so is looking up in
the water. IT ONLY HAPPENS WHEN YOU LOOK DOWN AT YOUR GAUGES ETC.

I bought this regulator because of recommendation. The shop have said they
can't change it as they have no more and with be having it looked at by
their technician tomorrow.

Surely this can be right, just don't want to go in the shop and get "They
all do that sir!!!"

Any advice welcome.
Mark

I have the same reg, both first and second stage, and have never had any
problem like that - and that includes spending quite a long time in the pool
trying to get into all sorts of positions to make sure to worked upside
down, on its side, up and down, and only got a bit of water when upside
down, but even that was only a very small amount and nothing I would be
concerned about when diving.
The only thing I can think of is that yours has a manufacturing problem or a
small leak somewhere.

David

A strong possibility is a hole in the rubber mouthpiece which only opens
when twisting your head down. Take a close look at it while flexing the
rubber.

Cliff.
