It can't be DCS because whales and dolphins don't breathe compressed gas. Should test it, the sonar, on free divers first! FU set, not xposted. -- del 8-) |

You just need to have enough time at depth to absorbe the gas then surface fast enough. It would seem that you need to gain a better understanding of DCS. -- >replace spamblock with my family name to e-mail me |

One lungful of gas cannot bend you even if you have lungs like a whale. It is the constant exposure to 'new' gas that causes the tissue tensions to rise towards saturation levels. You have litres of gas disolved in your tissues on the surface and very little will enter solution. > It would seem that you need to gain a better understanding of DCS. Children, please. Firstly, what does "You have litres of gas dis(s)olved in your tissues on the surface and very little will enter solution" mean? Secondly, it is entirely possible for breath-hold divers to get bent. http://216.239.59.104/search?q=cache...hl=en&ie=UTF-8 -- "The road to Paradise is through Intercourse." No mention of sonar tests or if the ama divers where molested by whales that had been drinking and smoking. I'll let it lie now and leave it to the whale watcher people to find the answer. -- del 8-) |
