The earlier post inferred that those who post regularly here are claiming to be in someways an expert in the subject thay they are discussing. I have done 300 dives and would in no way consider myself to be such an expert, and I can't see the correlation between Posting/level of expertise/attending UKRS trips. I dive because I enjoy it, and have always found the "vocal NG posters" here to be very helpful whenever I have needed to ask a specific question. I'll do my usual plug for St. Abbs - East coast of Scotland, about 10 minutes from the border. Excellent scenic shore diving (only cost is parking, which is free in the off season) and several boats (£7.50 per dive) which don't require a whole boat charter. There are two caravan parks and a multitude of B&B's - also a few compressors round about. Only problem is that the shore diving is weather dependent, but you can usually find a sheltered site somewhere within 10 miles (although the quality goes down). I might organise a UKRS weekend next spring if there's any interest? -- Ben Panter, Edinburgh My name (no spaces)@bigfoot which is a com. |

I read it as meaning the vast combined experience of the UKRS group (in diving or posting) - when all the knowledge, and experiece is put together rather than just one or two experienced divers. Then again maybe I am wrong. |

I'd be interested Ben, but then again, I live sort of half way there compared to the rest of this bunch of Southern softies or two exceptions!) Digs |
