| Want to dive the world? Want to dive the best dive sites on the planet? The South Pacific, The Caribbean, The Red Sea? Would you like to truly make it your lifestyle for several years and are willing to share the experience with a small group of others? This is no scientific or educational expedition and no gimmick. My wife and I and a couple of close friends are planning just such an amazing journey. If the idea sounds intriguing to you then read on. We're currently seeking 6-8 more like minded individuals that want to say goodbye to their daily routines for a life of adventure at sea. The four of us have already put aside $60,000 towards the purchase of a 75-100' sailboat plus spending money. We are looking for 6-8 other sailing/scuba adventurers, like us, that are willing to contribute $15,000 each towards the boat's estimated cost of $150,000. A legal entity would be set up to purchase the boat assuring all participants an equal share in ownership. Further, the vessel would not be purchased until shortly before departure and only with the consent of all parties. Additional expenses beyond the cost of the ship would be the responsibility of each party. One thing is for sure - lodging would be free and dinner too - that is if you like seafood! A SCUBA/sailing group of 10-12 people has several benefits. Namely; the pooling of financial resources to get the biggest bang for the buck, sailing a boat of this size, people on deck while others dive, the sharing of lookout watches while in sea lines, security against pirates in remote areas, the ability for sightseeing trips ashore while others guard the boat while offshore, and finally, the sharing with others of the memorable experiences you'll have. The voyage could sail in as early as 24 months with the right planning. A tentative schedule will be agreed upon by all participants allowing everyone time to make the necessary arrangements in their lives so as to enable them to take part in the adventure of a lifetime. By starting now to gather names of interested individuals we hope to establish a long list of interested parties as we proceed forward. Expecting 90% of those expressing interest to drop out at some point over the course of planning the trip, for one reason or another, should leave us with the ten to twelve die-hard committed folks we are seeking to make this thing a reality. If the expedition interests you and you wish to learn more about it then please send an e-mail expressing your curiosity to: scuba-the-world@cox.net Your e-mail address will be added to a mailing list and you will be contacted by e-mail with the URL of our forthcoming website which will detail exactly what we're up to. P.S. Se habla Espaņol y nous parlons Francais aussi! (My wife is Mexican and I used to live and work in France) Au revoir. |
