Default Sharm Alternatives?

Hi all,
The wife and I fancy some winter sun and diving in the Red Sea early in the
New year but Sharm just seems to get busier and busier, especially the dive
sites and that marina reminds me of the tube in the morning!!
Any one recommend an alternative dive resort on the Egyptian Red Sea coast?

cheers

Bill

Marsa Alam?

But I second Steve's suggestion of a liveaboard. 4 dives a day, no
lugging of kit, no queues, no crowds, food and drink on tap.
