Default Wing Advice

Hi all,
Currently running a dive rite transpac with the jnr. wing for single
cylinder diving &I'm looking to get a wing for twin 12 & stages for the Uk.
I used to have a twinbladder superwing, but thought this was a bit over the
top.
My main question is will either the rec. wing or classic be enough, or will
I need to go back to the superwing?

As a by the way, thanks to all who replied on the torches thread, I am now
the proud owner of a greenforce F2 umblical with tristar diamond head!!
cheers

Nice bit of kit mate - I've got one myself! I also bought the 100w HID
'Impact' head for when I need a little bit more light...

Classic will be fine - its probably the most common wing round here
(definitely is in my house, we;'ve got two)

Seconded as long as you aren't going to use steel 12s as stages IMNSHO

I thought a Classic would be fine for this? DiveRite claim the classic can
support twin 16s and an 11l stage and the Rec Wing can support the twin 16s
without the stage.

Is the marketing spin that short of what you can practically do? (I'm
considering a Rec Wing or Classic for a bit of twins and a single stage
diving).

Cheers,

Nick

Are they steel or Ali cylinders, also are they US or EU? I imagine US
manufacture from the sizes these tend to have slightly better buoyancy
characteristics than higher pressure EU cylinders.

My comment though is based on my experience with a classic wing and
having to use steel 10L stages. It could only just keep me afloat at
the start of the dive (and I wasn't wearing a weight belt)

It'll happily cope with that.

Thanks for the replies.
Going for a classicwing, bit more lift than the rec, but no bungee cords.

thanks again

Sorry, should have made this clear; Faber 12l twinset and whatever stages
are handy.

I was thinking of using this mainly for short dives and holiday work. When
I start racking up that kind of deco I'll go for something a bit larger

Nick.

I used mine with twin 104's (16.7L steels) and an Al80 as a stage (about
11), it was FINE.

Of course, if you want to use the wrong stages with it, you'll have to buy a
small zodiac as your wing ;)

/Zak
