| Does any one out there know where I can go for a Kiss Try dive?? I have had a try dive on the Inspiration but would like to compare to the Kiss Unit before I commit. If not, then a couple of questions What is the max depth on the standard unit? I was told 60m unless you had the new .033 jet. What is the situation with regards to spare parts in the UK. Are they readily available? What is the situation with regard to having the unit serviced or is this not an issue Does the unit come with a maintenance manual or is this just part of the training course? Thanks in advance Mark Chase |

My suggestion would be to get in touch with gordon smith. Your best starting place is http://www.jetsam.ca Im pretty sure the units are now shipping with the new O2 Injector, which is deeper rated (not sure how deep). The previous orifice tends to limit out around 75m for most people. I *think* the new one limits around something like 110m. Spare parts.. depends what you want. Sensors/Counterlungs/harness/wing etc are readily available. Beyond that, you'd be wise to ascertain what other spares you want and order them with your unit. For most people that means spare loop hoses... an ADV diaphragm, some flap valves etc. (You get a complete set of O rings and a scrubber ring fitting from gordon anyway) In my case, I also carry a spare display. Best to take this discussion privately or with Gordon. Servicing. Well, the RB part itself is pretty easy, provided you've got some basic knowledge. KISS divers tend to run self sufficient.... ie... you do your own. This is one of the benefits, it means you pay a lot of attention to getting it right. Anyway, the KISS comes as a self assembly kit, trust me.. you WILL learn it ;) There is a manual with it.... perhaps not quite up to haynes standard though ;) G'luck! Zak PS. if you want to email... post a reply on here and I'll get in touch |
