| Dear all Where's the best place in London to get 300bar air fills? Also: I've just passed basic training with Padi (ow) and am now allowed out in the real world. I'd like to become a "good" diver (whatever that may be). Any suggestions on what to do now (regarding training and practice)? James M |

Best plan would be to join a club, then you'll have people to dive with and they'll be able to help you along as you improve, show you how to improve, and won't charge you £50 an hour for the privilage! If you try to just dive with commercial places, with different people each time, you get no regular buddy, in your early diving you should really dive with someone more experienced who you'll pick things up off, and just generally give a more gentle introduction to diving. Dive lots Then dive some more Then do AOW then dive then dive some more then do some diving then do RD then do more diving Lots and lots of in water time, not just muddy puddles but real dives - you only learn a certain amount in the puddles. Best way to do this is to join a club of like minded individuals so you get someone organising diving for you and you get a ready supply of buddies HTH Pete diving 'at' melbourne 'dot' me 'dot' uk |

The springs in the Passat are only just getting over it and the exhaust hit a speed bump. ...And that is *with* a rebreather. > Or Eastbourne. From there we had to send some poor soul to Newhaven for a fill and when he got back we were all packing up as we were blown out. So now I add Littlehampton to my list too? Maybe I trade in the VW for a truck and take the generator, the Hamsworthy and the Js... ...but then if we go to Finland next summer... ?? We do do this for fun. We do don't we ?? Just checking... nigelH |
