Yes. If your paying for a warm water location go and dive. Don't pay for doing drills with the rest of the class. It is more than likely you will do your referral dives with the current OW class who probably got off your plane with you. You are free to lie on the beach while they are doing their class and pool work but that's not what a diving holiday is all about. A referral is a nice idea but it doesn't always work out as you might hope. My Red Sea Live-aboard starts next Friday. You wake up early because somebody is banging on your door yelling "Dive Briefing". Now that *is* worth getting up for. An hour or so later you pass up your fins and climb the ladder and somebody puts fresh orange juice in you hand. Breakfast is waiting in the lounge. Of course it was somebody else who saw the school of sharks and they have pictures to prove it but, hey, there's always tomorrow and the next day and... nigelH |

If the guy is doing scuba diver he will need to do the last 2 pool and theroy session last two open water dives so he will need to find a instructor to do the final 2 sessions, he needs to find a padi instructor and pay time is not the issue further training above scuba diver level is. |
