Porthkerris Cornwall, UK

Hi,

I am quite new to diving and have done my PADI Open Water Course at
Porthkerris Divers in Cornwall, UK. I have been diving there a few
time recently and had a great time on each occasion.

Has anyone else been there? What did you think?

I am told that it is a great place to dive with basking sharks but I
havent done that yet?

Who taught you, Andy?

Yes they are good. Very professional, and always a good laugh.
Highly recommended.

Not trained with them, but went down and dived out of there at Easter...
with the nice road down there! Trying to get down in a minibus full of kit,
towing a boat, and then meeting someone else coming up with a boat was
fun... nice steep hill, no where to reverse to, and with our minibus barely
able to move anyway - the Cornish should really build themself some roads!

Did a few wrecks out of there though, but the weather was pretty rubbish
most of the week so didn't get all that much done over that side of the
Lizard. Seems good, people were helpful, and they have a nice big
compressor to do all our tanks! :o)

Yes, I've been there, all the way from Belgium.
Had a good time, did some great dives on wrecks and the Mannacles and have
snorkeled with basking sharks twice in the 3 days I was there!! That was
first week of july 2001

Operations at Porthkerris divers was perfect, no complaints whatsoever.
