| I am just looking at getting a really cheapo break in Jan/Feb and the cheapest prices seem to be malta or portugal at the moment. Does anyone know if dive outfits will be operating at this time of year? What temp for the water as well. I read in a brochure around 15 degrees but I dont know how lucky this guess may be?? Thanks all |

| Try Maltaqua in Malta and a German in Praia de Luz near Lagos in Portugal - Sea Sports Centre tel 082-789538. It was rated quite highly by someone local but I dived with them back in '98, so it was some time ago. There is one in Albufeira but they've changed hands. I could find out more depending on where you are going, if so email me off group. Portugal you will need a dry suit, for sure, but Malta, just ask the dive school what they recommend. www.chrystianne,com "dd" <dippy_diver@hotmail.com> wrote in message news:7246e82a.0311190550.23f9b07a@posting.google.c om... > I am just looking at getting a really cheapo break in Jan/Feb and the > cheapest prices seem to be malta or portugal at the moment. Thanks all Cheapest?????????? How about 7 nights Lanzarote with Thompson for £129 self catering. http://www.lunnpoly.com/lp/index.jsp 10 Dive pack with www.calipso-diving.com £120. All you need then is food + booze. About 20 degrees in the water and you only need a 5mm wetsuit. And yes it's not like the Med. It's warm! TerryH |
