Default Twinning bands on Cressi BCDs

Hi

I'm going to the Red Sea in a couple of weeks, where we get as many 12l
tanks as we like, but would have to pay extra for 15's or ponys. Because of
that, I was thinking of just getting some twinning bands so I can use twin
12's for the deeper dives or the more interesting dives where a 12l wouldn't
give me very long on the bottom, or i just want a longer dive or just some
redundancy. I've got time before to play around in the pool with it all
before we go, as a few other club members have done the same. I've got the
regs already!

Problem is, the Buddy twinning bands which most people use don't seem to fit
my BCD (Cressi S111) , since i've only got two slots next to each other in
the back, and another two below that - the buddy bands seem to need 4, all
next to each other.
Question is, is there a way to fit buddy bands to my BCD, or are there some
other bands available for the Cressi BCDs or another make with the different
arrangement? Its got a strong metal backplate in it, seems to have a good
combination of slots in that which don't go out to the back, does anyone
know if I could use them? I'm sure that around the time I bought it I saw
that someone had used twinning bands with it, but no idea where I saw that -
can't find it anymore.

Any ideas?

David

How about removing the Cressi bands alltogether and rethreading with the
Buddy.
Have done this with my Zeagle and has worked well for about 6 years now.

Well thats what I was thinking of doing, but it doesn't seem to have the
right slots in the back of the BCD to do that. I wasn't sure whether there
was another way to thread them only using two slots instead of four, or
otherwise if there are some different bands designed to fit only on two
slots.

If it's a question of keeping the bands in place you could always get a
couple
of stainless retainers (same as weight belt retainers) and trap the webbing.
