| I've heard "there's nothing wrong with suicide clips" one time too many - so I'd like to compile a definitive list of problems people have had when using suicide clips. If you, or anybody you know, has had any problems with a suicide clip, I'd appreciate it if you stopped by http://www.oneandoneis2.com/suicide and filled in an entry. Cheers! Dominic |

If you want to read about someone who died with a clip of that design then you can do so in Bernie Chowdhury's book The Last Dive. Cheers Matt. |

I use one every day on my car keys. when the keys are not in the ignition more often than not they are clipped to my belt. Ive been hooked to chairs most often when sitting on them. door handles as you walk by fences too many times know it will happen under water. That's why I put one on the end of my buddy line. I've never had a suicide clip snag, but I *have* had a bolt snap catch on someone else's DMSB line. - Keith |

I've had a suicide clip snag a number of things over the years. In my personal opinion, the problem is not so much the snag as it is how difficult it can be to unclip them, particularly when wearing gloves and particularly when you can't see the clip you are working with. I find bolt clips easier to unclip and, therefore, use them almost exclusively while diving. The seat on my kayak is held in place by four bolt clips. One of them, one time, turned my bathing suit into a short skirt as I left the kayak for the water. Nothing's perfect. Lee |
