| http://www.marine-cameras.com/ or phone 0117 969 9988 As stated these are run by Alan James and Heather Hammond, both accomplished underwater photographers themselves. I came across them some years ago and have found them to be extremely helpful and reasonably priced. But of course reasonably priced all depends upon your view of customer service and support. Here I cannot fault them they go out of their way to inform you of all the pros and cons they listen and understand what you are trying to achieve. They will help you understand where you went wrong by assessing photographs and they even support issues with computer software when you are trying to print etc. Their range of courses is helpful, they are alined to a local underwater photography club and they run photographic holidays aimed at improving your results, we went on one to Ireland after starting and it significantly improved our results. Even when I had a recent serious problem with a digital camera I bought they were only concerned with putting it right, to my satisfaction without any prompt from myself. I can positivly recommend this outfit, I would not buy elsewhere, even if cheaper. highly recommended, look out for them at the dive shows if not from the south west. I f you are in the south west they are easy to find just two minutes from the M4-M5 interchange: From J16 of the M5, follow the A38 towards Filton and Bristol. They are in the first rank of shops (with its own slip road) on the left, after the first Esso garage (on left). kath "rich" <rich@nospam.co.uk> wrote in message news:jsf3tv05akqad6kgb3mac86fud334rumf6@4ax.com... > On Sat, 06 Dec 2003 10:14:05 +0000, Pete Melbourne <psmvsl@yahoo.com> > wrote: > > >On Fri, 5 Dec 2003 22:52:04 -0000, "Nick Reed" > ><nareed@globalnet.co.uk> wrote: > > > >>Anyone have any experience of dealing with this firm. | I visited both Alan James and Cameras Underwater at the Birmingham dive show looking for a strobe - it was nearly £60 cheaper from Cameras Underwater. I also bought my housing from them about 6 months previously - phoned up, gave my credit card number and it arrived 2 days later - excellent service "dc" <dave.care@blueyonder.co.uk> wrote in message news:n6PBb.2356$7l4.26055721@news-text.cableinet.net... > > http://www.marine-cameras.com/ or phone 0117 969 9988 > > As stated these are run by Alan James and Heather Hammond, both accomplished > underwater photographers themselves. > > I came across them some years ago and have found them to be extremely > helpful and reasonably priced.
