You buddying me with the see if we can get in the water before the lynch mob gets us this year. BTW. Have you changed the length of the webbing on your harness or do I need to diet for the next 2 weeks? DaveA -- Posted via Mailgate.ORG Server - http://www.Mailgate.ORG |

I probably haven't been in the water enough recently. It's over three weeks dammit. I'm going to crack. I keep booking the more wild and wacky training courses. I can think of one in January I know I'm going to regret, however the surface supply gig in March looks fun. Reports when I have pictures as usual. > Have you changed the length of the webbing on your harness or > do I need to diet for the next 2 weeks? I've got a new bit of webbing. I just need to feed it through things. I could bring it and let you do it. Am I that mean? Possibly. nigelH |

OK, here is a better one: The [Mares HUB] is a POS because, among many other good reasons: a) It is apallingly badly set up for providing assistance to your buddy in an emergency. b) Inside it is a nightmare of convolutions, hose splitters, unneccessary failure points. c) As a single unit, if any part of it fails you have to find replacements for both reg and BC at the same time. d) It is bulky and heavy, and inconvenient for travel. Replace [Mares HUB] in the above statement with [Buddy Inspiration] and they are all just as true... <GD&R> Cheers, Huw -- Posted via Mailgate.ORG Server - http://www.Mailgate.ORG |

Most people have been on the recieving end of far worse reamings in uk.rec.scuba than that. I've just about given up on Dive magazine. Since BSAC switched from Diver to Dive, they seem to have swapped places: Diver is now a mostly well-written mag with a wide range of interesting articles, and Dive is packed with twaddle. OK, Bantin is still around to level things up, but the Dive staff are gradually reeling him in and the guy who reviewed the Holycon wing must be going deaf from the sound of points whizzing over his head. Nice first try. (a) I admit, in fact the HUB might be better, (b) means you haven't counted round a rig for a 40m accelerated deco dive, (c) will have them rolling on the floor clutching their spanners, this is AP, the *we sell spares* company and (d) from a twinset owner is even funnier. What we want is a dig at the price of Kitty Litter, something about scrubbers coming unglued and the laugh-a-minute relationship with the Auto-Air. Slide switches must be good for a jibe too and the fun you get walking into 'Back Of Beyond Divers' to discover they can only fill A-clamp but I'm not sure how to work them into a HUB critique. nigelH |

My kit was pretty light when I dived the President Coolidge on twins last year. I just took some extra stabilising plates for my Transpac. Your chances of getting kitty litter in Vanuatu are nil, but then you probably can't afford it after spending all that money anyway.
