Oh F*** off. I've been posting to this group for years, I'm a UK
diver, or has your narrow-minded, in-thinking brain not figured that
out yet. This is UK.rec.scuba.

As you will see from my latest posts to rec.scuba I am posting to both
groups. Perhaps you should start posting to here, looking at most of
the posts in rec.scuba 90% have nothing to do with diving. It's all
your typicall American talk about Sadam and Guns. Does rec.scuba not
have any form of regulation?

Now, unless you have any construtive, non-personal remarks to make I
suggest you go back to your in-thinking American buddies.

Rec Scuba is too easy, just take up a "we don't need guns, the US is
wrong" stance in any subject you like usually works just fine.......
Anybody see "bowling for columbine"?

Starting a flame war over here is more difficult. The best technique
is to ask a provocative question that you know someone will respond
badly to so there is a flame war you didn't start!!

The above views are not necessarily mine, investments can go down as
well as up.

I'd suggest getting a Rescue Course in but apart from that.

1) Good Luck.

2) Welcome.

3) Now is the time to sell Granny/any spare kids/the dog etc
to pay for what's an extremly addictive hobby (or shall we just stick
with
addiction?)

I do post here jobsworth, when there is anything I am interested in,
Do a Google search if you can get Mummy to show you how.

You got Flamed in R S because you talked rubbish about the relevance
of depth limits, Primarily that you said it was right for someone to
be banned from a live aboard diving trip after exceeding the Max depth
limit by 0.1m.
You then went on to show your vast inexperience and got spanked for
it.

One of the things top of my list, after getting some kit, I've been a scout
for years, and always had my st johns up to date, i'll feel much happier
once I know how to get people out of nasty situations. At present, i'd not
feel particuarly comfortable diving anywhere without someone highly
experienced around :)

Pleased to be here!

Do you get much cash for grans these days? I thought the bottom dropped out
of the market when the FTSE dropped below 4k ;) I'm currently hassling the
boss for more money, and saving like a beast (he says, not actually having
been paid yet in '04), but as i mentioned before, if anyone has any
super-cheap servicable & basic kit they want to get rid of, let me know :)

I still stand by the comment. I don't necessarily agree with the
liveaboards rules, if I were that diver I would be pissed as well.
What I do agree with is the enforecement of the rule by the liveaboard
operator.

I then went on to highlight what happens in the majority of dive
resorts in Europe, giving personal experince to back it up. Which is
more than can be said for those on rec.scuba who simply enjoy
dissageing with little or no reasoning behind it. An exception to this
rule was the insightful and intertesting link about reverse profiles.

I absolutly expecked to get 'spanked' as long as those doing it keep
it constructive and back up their argument which the forum of
rec.scuba seems unable to do.

No but I've been reading 'Dude where's my country' by
the same guy (Michael Moore) which would be scary if
it weren't so funny.
