No water in a sand pit... well, unless its a water-filled sand pit! :o\

There are more than a few pools around, but none that I know of that welcome
somebody in full dive gear. I live on a lake and, I suppose I could try it
out there if I were careful. I'd hate to have to freedive to get my gear
back out of the mud just beyond the drop off. It's a man made lake. The
fact is, I just haven't gotten around to it. It's not a real high priority.
I own and like my equipment and I'm not likely to change much not matter
what. On the other hand, I ought to know.

I bought the 27 lb wing for my wife. I suspect you're right about pushing
it, particularly with full hp steel 100's. We'll see . . . when the water
gets warmer.

Nah, I think you were supposed to be 'dead' at the time. =)

Isn't that what reels or rope was made for?

I would think that, unless the bouyancy was far off, almost any SMB reel
or spool line would be enough in calm water.
