Yes, yes, no. But, as always, ensure you get the closest fit that allows the full range of movement. | > Anyone used an otter skin drysuit? Yep - I have the Otter Skin Britannic. > If so would you recommend? or avoid second time round? Would defo recommend getting one - I brought it a couple of seasons ago because I was fed up with getting wet in my O3 (which was an awful suit - despite what anyone else says), its the best thing I've done. Would happily buy again the second time round. Paul -- Posted via Mailgate.ORG Server - http://www.Mailgate.ORG |

| Mine has been given the usual divers abuse over the last few years, same neoprene neck seal and boots, replaced cuffs once. As for second time round I haven't been able to wear it out yet. Best and most reliable piece of kit that I've bought. Jason -- See http://www.scuba-addict.co.uk/ to view UK dive spaces or add your own. |

Dont buy it now though. Wait a couple of months and get it at LIDS. You will save a bundle and normaly get MTM thrown in at the same price. TerryH |

I haven't used other suits so can't directly compare, but it certainly appears well made and good quality and so far so good on remaining watertight. Having tried various sizes on the shop, and duly ordered one, it arrived within the time quoted and fitted just like the try-on. The chap in the shop was very helpfull, and though the shop was busy, once I'd waited my turn, he was happy to spend an hour or so explaining and trying on. I bought the mid-range, slightly stretchy, membrane one as it seemed more comfortable than the standard one, though was perhaps £100 more. I chose Otter as it was recommended by various people as a good make, and prices were reasonable. I certainly didn't want to get into the £1000 market! Though there are some a bit cheaper, but having looked around there are certainly worse-made suits too. Cheers Hywel |

Mark wrote: > Anyone used an otter skin drysuit? Yeup. I have the Brittanic. > If so would you recommend? or avoid second time round? Yeup. So far it's lasted 4 years of abuse from me (70ish dives a year), and I've only in the last six months had to replace the neck seal. I had wellies grafted onto the legs (my feet are too big for neoprene booties) and they have developed tiny holes around the fin strap area which I've fixed with aquasure. Very, very happy with my suit. MTM is worth every penny if you are anything other than Mr. Average. Ben -- Ben Panter, Edinburgh My name (no spaces)@bigfoot which is a com. |
