| I am looking for DIVE LOG software for my new Tungsten T3. I saw the earlier thread that focused mainly on dive planning but I'm looking for a log. I've tried Sharkpoint but can't get it to work with UK date format. Am I missing something? I've tried Dive Buddy and Dive Buddy Pro and they both crash my Palm on start-up. I've tried Ken Hancock's Dive Log 0.77 and that freezes when trying to input a dive start time. Ruiz Log is looking like the best prospect at the moment but I wondered if there are any other T3 users out there, or at least Palm OS5 users that have found decent working dive log software. I have 200 dives logged on a Psion Revo as a simple flat file database and have saved that as a .CSV file to my laptop so any software that will allow be to import that data would be a great bonus. Thanks, Tim. |

I'm tying Aqua DiveLog at the moment, alongside Ruiz. Looking good and the price (£0) is very good value too out how to make use of the conduits to import data it would be my winner. I suspect I'll work it out given enough time. I don't fancy retyping 200 dives just to keep my new log up to date. So Aqua DL is in the lead at the moment. I gave DiveMaster from ReefNet a try and was very unimpressed - very old fashioned, no pick lists, no validation of input data etc. etc. and it costs too. |

Sign up for the following Yahoo group and you can ask questions of a group that includes other users and the author. We can probably help you get one of the conduits working there. palm-divelog |

I've signed up and had a quick browse through but I need to find the time to get into the conduit thing more deeply. I'm sure I'll get it sorted though. Cheers, Tim. |

But I was immediately put off by its apparent inability to handle dates in European/UK format. Maybe I missed something and the option is there but I could not find it. I am not about to relearn how to input dates just to run one piece of software. Now if it can do dd/mm/yy I'd definitely give it another look.. Did I miss something or is the software too Americanised for its own good? -- Email address is munged. Please reply to newsgroup. |
