Default Weezle - Extreme or Compact for Membrane use

Right.

What should i go for? Extreme or Compact for use with a membrane drysuit?

Suspect the Extreme - but at an equiv of 400gr thinsulate would it be too
warm for summer uk use?
What do others use?

Extreme, I used mine all this year from those lovely toasty days in the
summer to earlier this month at Horsea...

Ranged from lovely and warm to just a bit chilly after an hour in the
water...

extreme
used all year with nothing else
you do get hot on the surface between dives in the summer
but you don't get cold underwater

forth element goes under in the winter and for long dives and when my suit
leaks

I use an Extreme all year around. The only change I make for this time of year
is to wear a pair of weezel boots as well and a wicking base layer.

And at the risk of hi-jacking yet another thread....

What are people's recommendations for wicking base layers for under the
weezle extreme to give a bit of extra toastiness at this time of year?

Weezle's recommendation is not to use wicking base layers at all,
but put another layer of insulation on the top .

Having tried Helly Hansen and Musto layers of various thicknesses
in Norway, I think they're right - anything you gain from the
underlayer is negated by the loss because you are preventing the
lining from doing its job.

4th E looks good but is so expensive - might as well just buy a Weezle
Extreme+

I have a friend who used to work for for F&T and he recommended my
base layer to me (oddly enough not all sold by F&T). I'll look out
the makes/models of my stuff if people are really that interested
but it cost somewhere between 40-60 quid.

At the risk of thread-hopping... I haven't ever had any problems with
wearing a base layer under my Weezel and the wicking effect during the
dive hasn't been affected at all as far as I can tell (it certainly
feels a lot warmer). Another bonus is that I can get into it before I
leave the house which allows me to put my weezel on in the open and
no scare the ladies/small children; get arrested for crimes against
humanity; etc.
