Default Questions for Dive Quiz

I'm organising a quiz for my dive club's monthly social. The club consists of
mainly PADI recreational divers with a few instructors and teckkies.

Any suggestions for quiz questions greatly appreciated; please ensure answer is
100% correct to avoid me making a pratt of myself!

Thanks in advance,
Garry.

Q: Which type of drysuit is better, membrane or neoprene?
A: Membrane (note: answer is only 50% right)

Q: Should you use your BCD or drysuit as primary bouyancy device during a
dive?
A: BCD (again, answer only 50% right)

Maybe leave those for bonus questions, or if you need a tie breaker they can
fight it out among themselves! :O)

Problem is with both very experienced and relatively newish people you can't
really ask much about the ins and outs of general diving, but need to be
more obscure, such as:

Q: With what would 'Valsalva' be commonly associated?
A: Ear clearing

Q: In order, what are the correct terms for 'front of boat', 'right side',
'left side', and 'rear of boat'?
A: Bow, starboard, port, stern.

Or try http://quiz.ukdivers.com/default.asp - not been through them but
seems promising for a bit of, ermmmm, pilfering! ;o)

A: Pointy end, Square end, This side and That side. You have to be
particularly careful not to get this side confused with that side.

I don't know what your suggesting?!!! The french have never owned up to
sinking it, it just happened to have french secret service explosives
attached to it when it blew. Coincidence, that's all

You have the 'Silent World' too?
Some of it is scary isn't it?

Compressed air limited to 300 feet, carbon monoxide on a cave dive,
testing human tolerance to explosives and a slightly cavalier attitude
to oxygen rebreathers (if you start to convulse drop your weights and
the surface cover will pick you up).

Innocent days....

Garry,

see if one of your buddies has the "PADI Encyclopedia of Recreational
Diving" - all the info you need is in there..
Not sure if they have this book in libraries..? Probably not.

Cheers

Wilbo

Yup. 45 feet, say 14.5m so not far short of 2.5bar of O2.

They thought it was cause by impurities in the 'soda lime' so they kept
going back and trying to fix it. However in the end he says of one dive
where he convulsed so suddenly he did not remember dumping his
weight belt "I came very near to drowning. It was the end of my interest
in Oxygen"
