Nope that was a straight conversion from 2400 USD into UKP

It's nearer £2800 if the price doesn't include duty, postage or VAT.

Yup, I agree, it's probably a bit cheaper than £4K when fully built up. 3
cells are about £150, then about £200 for cylinders and £50 for 2 cheap
clamps (are they needed?). Allowing £200 for a backplate, harness and a
wing, that's £3400.

I paid £3800 for the inspiration.

I don't know where you've got your figures from.
Shipping / duty etc. costs for two units came to £498.

I already had a backplate/harness/wing. The cells are $70 each from
Oxycheq; clamps - you can use cam bands, I used a pair of G snaps
which I had spare.
