| I am in the early stages of organising a trip on Teignmouth, south Devon on the 31st July/1st August. Diving will be wrecks in the 30-40m region. Price should be 30 quid a day, which makes a nice relief from Weymouth prices. Jason -- See http://www.scuba-addict.co.uk/ to view UK dive spaces or add your own. |

| I see that your planned trip to dive with us at Teignmouth this season has raised a few negative coments. It would appear that Daniel had a bad experience with us for which I am sorry. We do occasionally get caught at Teignmouth with very large tides and we always plan to avoid loading/unloading on these tides, ocassionally however there are unforseen delays! If Daniel is reffering to Seaquest, she is a Lochin 33 one of the more established workboats in the UK and she has been operating as a dive boat for 25 years both here and Cornwall without complaint, the kitting bench is nearer to 2 foot from the deck, and we have not recieved any reports of drysuit damage. We are always ready to accept positive feedback and if these issues are not raised at the time then neither oursleves or anyone else in the industry will ever be able to take action, to improve service. I look forward to meeting your group and providing a good weekends diving. It's a fact of life on that part of the coast. There's a similar problem getting over the sand bar back into Exmouth. But as you say, there are some nice wrecks there and I've done very few of them. As I have said, the wrecks were good. The people in the shop were friendly and helpful. I just do not like the boat. Assuming we are talking of the same one, I would describe it more as a boat carrying divers than a dive boat. Other than having a point to which you can attach the ladder, I cannot remember any other way in which the boat had been made to accomodate divers. There was not even bungey to tie the cylinders out of the way. I do seem to remember this group diving a similar setup (Lundy I think??) and people not being at all happy. Daniel |
