All very true - but ATEOTD it's about honesty. We ship quite a bit of stuff by mail (Wendy sells things on Ebay) and we are always up front and honest about shipping, we charge what it costs us rounded up a few pence for packaging materials etc. To lead people in with a false price, which you cannot actually buy for because "shipping charges" are added, is dishonest IMHO. If they want that extra fiver then put it on the price and charge realistic (actual cost) shipping charges, don't advertise false prices and hide the real price elsewhere. All that Go Dive are doing is leaving a bad taste, as others have said their prices are good and people buy even with the shipping charges. So be honest about it, everyone is happy, the same amount of money changes hands, Go Dive sell and divers buy - what's the problem with that approach? Keith L |

If I get a price of £100 and £20 postage, my item has cost £120. If that TOTAL price is cheaper than the other shop i'll buy it, if it's not I wont. It doesnt really make any difference what way the shop promotes there prices. Bottom line is always the total, not advertised price. TerryH |

I felt the £20 was worth paying for somewhere to take it back to if it went wrong. -- Richard Faulkner |
