the "standard" is 24 inches for primary and 36 for octopus. direct
feeds are again pretty much standard. However certain people will go
for other lengths in certain circumstances

At the beginner stage hose lengths are pretty much standard however
weird shape or size you are.

However I recomend AP Valves hoses as you can shorten them youself. This
is not something that is such a big deal but it is nice to have.

FWIW I have just shortened my LP hose by about 40cm and did it in stages
to make sure I did not cut of too much.

Interstage pressure on modern Jetstreams is ~9bar IIRC (which is normalish).
Cyklons are higher.

Note, though, that the AP schraeder valve is a different size to
everyone else's. I've used the two interchangeably in the past, but I
wouldn't recommend it (you get a different flow rate, for one thing...)

I'm actually really surprised someone hasn't asked where the CCR to go
with the OC bailout was! (Tongue in cheek)

I suspect that whoever services your regulator set the intermediate pressure
to keep you from having problems. In my liimited experience with mixed
sets, I've found that second stages designed for lower intermediate
pressures are more likely to free flow and to continue freeflowing when used
with higher intermediate pressures. On the other hand, I've not noticed
that sets done the other way around breathed harder.

it's whats replaced the bootom-of-the range entry-level Favour suunto dive
computers.

Seems to just be a favour with basic nitrox compatibility. I didn't look to
hard at the brochore at the time while in the shop since I already have a
Favour S. :)

So..

I get a Scubapro R290 Octopus £79

Scubapro Depth Gauge £49 (Why not the Suunto for £39?)

if the BCD hose comes with the BCD, do I need a BCD hose?

A ROW hose to the BCD £20/£30 - for the sake of £30, if there are 2
types, she could have both??

Job done??

Does a diver/school leave the BCD hose attached to the 1st Stage, or to
the BCD when storing it?
