Poor excuse and I'd bet untrue. After all I don't see anyone here cracking jokes whenever anyone else is lost. But FWIW Pete, I agree. Anyone who knows me will know that I am *far* from PC, and under normal circumstances it wouldn't bother me one bit. However the jokes are of a disgusting nature and inappropriate to share them publicly in such a fashion - bearing in mind that the matter is far from over. I gather I am not the only one who thinks so. S.C. |

Hmm, not sure I can let that one go. Not sure I have heard many Jewish comedians making jokes about the holocaust. Maybe I am wrong and am welcome to be corrected on that one. Simon |

I gather I am not the only one who thinks so. Yes, they were quite funny in my opinion, but no, this probably isn't an appropriate place for them as clearly some have been offended. Keep them among your friends, who you know will react well to them. Leave it at that! David |

There'd be an outcry from the contributors of this NG. I took enough of a chance mentioning cats and pigeons. Sorry to all bird and feline fanciers if I upset you with that remark... :o) |

Its not much, but it will keep their heads above water! It's just a joke. Just out of curiosity, do you find this offensive. On the building site Paddy's ear was sliced off by a falling slate, they took him to the hospital to stitch it back on. The Surgeon explained what they were going to do but when Paddy saw the ear he shouted "Stop! Wait! dats not moi ear" The Surgeon said "Of course it is" but Paddy shouted "Oi no it's not, cos moin had a pencil behind it." |
