Doesn't look like its about to break, no more than any other fins anyway.
I've known pins snap in Mares fin buckles, complete straps snap in others,
and they are widely used - just something that occasionally happens.
Anyway, you're much more likely to snap any fins when putting them on, so at
worst you have to put on a spare strap before you dive. Never heard of a
strap breaking underwater.
I'm sure they've tested the design and know that the end caps won't just pop
off - apart from anything else all of the force is pulling in completely the
wrong angle to pop the pin cap off.
