| What is the difference between TwinJets and TwinSpeeds, has anybody tried both of these fins. I've seen TwinJets in my LDS, and they're getting me a pair from their club kit to try out, but then I notice TwinSpeeds on the DiveInn website and they're quite a bit cheaper. Any opinions ? Thanks George |

I've got a pair of XL twinspeeds you can have for £40, if you're interested... |

I use TwinJets for scuba diving because they are short and very flexible (not bad inside a wreck or on a boat). The kick shoud be shorter and quicker using those fins in order to go upstream in the drift. By the way I have also Mares Plana Avanti 4, Avanti 3, Cressi Gara 2000 LD, Gara 3000, C4 and a monofin in carbon fibre. Ciao Ghigo |

I don't have much experience of different fins, I assume it's all a matter of personal preference, I'm looking for something that will reduce the possibilty of cramp across the bridge of my feet. I thought splits might help, but I've only really used horrible rigid club Scubapro fins so maybe it's just them that cause it. I'm open to suggestion. But my original post was really just to determine what the difference is between Scubapro win Jets and Scubapro Twin Speeds, apart from the price. |

| Found a few articles on www.divernet.com, as follows: Twin Speed: http://www.divernet.com/equipment/10...tests.htm#twin Twin Jet: http://www.divernet.com/gear/dtst0800.htm#twin No idea if they're particularly helpful however? ;) Gav. To be honest mate, it's probably got more to do with your finning technique than the fins themselves. I used to dive on a pair of Scubapro twin-speeds that I really liked until I tried to frog kick in them. Since then, I've been diving using a pair of nice, chunky 'turtle fins' which are effectively slightly less rigid jetfins for people with larger feet than the standard XL jetfins can accommodate. To say that they've completely changed the way I dive would be an understatement - even the slightest fin flutter translates into positive movement that would require considerable effort with a pair of fancy split fins... As I said, I've got a pair of Scubapro Twinspeed fins you can buy if you *really* want them but my advice would be to stick with the jetfins and work on your finning technique instead... |

By turtle fins I assume you mean something like these http://www.divebooty.com/equipment_details.asp?pid=3848 I've looked at them before, but same old problem, without trying them I'm not sure they's suit me !!!! and XXXL sounds kinda big, would they work with size 11 dry suit boots ?
