Default GPS Plotting of dives Electronic Dive Logs etc

Well i posted about 1 yr ago asking is any software was avalible for
plotting Dive positions and linking to a Dive puter log boog etc

didnt seem to be a lot about most of the stuff i was looking for
is Avalible But in separate software packages
i.e.
Dive log
Dive computer Info
Album ie pictures
Map Plot ie GPS on a chart

Well there are now avalible programs that help at least a bit
mainly my wish to plot dives i do in my local area espesally drift
dives etc
for as little as £35.
Now this soft ware is intended for use on land by walkers etc
(actually one of the companies is offering a marine maps for a lot
more money for the system but this isnt nesisery for my use) and as
such is not absolutly ideal but its very close

Basically you can plot a route any where on the 1:50,000 map by
grid ref or Lat long you can also do this over the blue bit
and a simple 2 point route gives a drift dive nicley :D these can be
built up as you add more and you can associate info with them even
have it open a file on selection ie a Word Doc that could be your
log with pictures etc
Even better you can directly import and export info with a
number of GPS hand helds. Also the software can be run as well on a
PDA hand held which can run the map and your location real time if
linked to a GPS.

As i said in the previous post i want to use this to build up a
picture of where we dive our local area and so can better advise for
the requirements of other divers who use the boat and may have
particular interests.

the 2 companies i have found and tryed the software at a show are
http://www.anquet.co.uk/

http://www.memory-map.co.uk/

like i said both are ment for on land stuff and walkers so
neither is ideal.
