Nice to see it done gently too. Glad Nigel got back safely from that one. (And is back to enjoying his Turtle dives since!) As for the harsh words about Jack, well there I think we have to differ. Fantastic diver, excellent instructor and all around great bloke. First met him on my IANTD course he ran in 1996, and did all my training up to TDI Trimix with him. (After which Jack and I ran an exped to Norway to dive a wreck called the Elizabeth Bornhoffen here: http://www.divernet.com/travel/0900norway.htm ) My intention is not to start a flame war, I am open minded to all the differences of opinions in our sport, but I will simply say that the training he gave, and experience he generously passed on, has kept me safe and improved my enjoyment of the sport over the past 8 years. So I thought I must add some balance to the previous negative posts, especially as I don't think he ever reads the NG's. I hope you all take this as intended. Best Regards, Matt Duke Bergen, Norway. |
