Default BCD problem

The dump valve and the inflator hose on my ocenanic seems to stick a little.
After releasing air it dosen't seem to shut off 100% and needs to be pulled
out to stop it dumping air.

Dose the spring inside need to be replaced?

I have tried cleaning it to make sure there it no salt build up.

I suppose it is not user serviceable?

Thanks

Colin

Default Re: BCD problem

I have the same problem with a few of my bcd's.
It probably had some sand in it which damaged the dump slide itself while
using it.
Take apart, cut loose the bit that sticks out (gets stuck while operating)
and put back together.
or buy a new inflator/deflator-head.

It is user serviceable, as long as you know what to do.

Michel
