| Hi, I've just passed my PW Adv. course and Drysuit speciality and was looking at the Aquion Pro which someone is selling cheap. I just wondered if anyone has any comments on using the suit which has a shoulder dump valave. I used a cuff dump when doing the course. Any advice or comments would be appreciated. Thanks |

It'll take a bit of getting used to the shoulder dump (when I first used one after doing training in a cuff dump it took a couple of dives to get used to it), they tend to dump a little slower in my experience. I certainly prefer it to the cuff dump now though, and it is worth taking a couple of nice easy sheltered dives to get used to it. Just nice not to have to worry about the air in your drysuit so much, and to be able to raise your arm without sinking to the bottom of the sea! :o\ David |

I've had an Aquion Pro membrane suit for several years, it's done a couple of hundered dives and is still going strong! Usual replacements apply, it's in for repair at the moment for a new zip (it was still on the original), it's had the usual new wrist and neck (x2). The fabric itself is as tough as old nails, no tears, the seams are still waterproof. The boots are the original ones as well. I've looked after it, I use knee pads, it gets carefully washed down and put away after use, as with most diving kit if you look after it it lasts. At present I see no reason to replace it and I expect it to last be a few years yet. So for me it's been a damn good suit, YMMV of course but I can't recall anybody who had one complaining about it.
