Default Explorers Tours - Red Sea

Hi,

Has anyone used Explorers Tours Liveaboards out of Sharm? The boat they
operate is the MV Seagull.

Looking to do 7 nights liveaboard in August.

Regards,

Rich

No but I've been on Seagull when it was working as a day boat, nice
boat and friendly crew.

I have been on the Seagull for a cruise and stay (3 days on a day boat
and then 4 days on the seagull as a livaboard)

There was a group of about 8 of us.

We didnt like it at all. We went because the people I went with had
been on it as a day boat the year before and they said it was good
then.

But the toilets all blocked about a day in and stayed blocked
The aircon gets switched of at night, so we all end up sleeping on
deck at night, because of the heat and smell of oil in the cabin.
The crew were excellent, so was the food and the diving was great

But the seagull is the low end of the market, so as most people say,
you get what you pay for. When we go next time it will be on a full
week livaboard probably with Tony Backhurst Scuba.

Went with Explorers last year on a cruise and stay for a week
We should have been on the Seagull, but where put on another boat.
The trip was cut short, due to unknown "safety Concerns" with the
boat. The guides would not tell us what the problem was, but we where
quite pleased to get off the boat as it was horrible.

Sorry to say I would never use Explorers again, untill they change the
dive guides they use...

Maybe we where just unlucky as we had two dive guides whose ego's
where competing with each other and they where constantly encouraging
memebr sof our trip to complain about the other guide!!

Just my experiences

Watch out though - Tony Backhurst Scuba have also been known to use
some dodgy Red Sea Tubs with similar problems to the Seagull!
