You can't get a refund through Western Union, so you are well stuffed. Chris Q |

| I get them nearly every day, similar patter, sometimes not always as obvious. I advertised some commercial fishing gear for sale on findafishingboat.co.uk, have taken the ad off and STILL get the emails. I stupidly put my husband's email address on there in full, so don't know if it's an email swipe that they get hold of or whether they do actually look at the advert, so whether you put me'at'address'dot'com like Pete does, you still get the same emails. I did have some warning though, I think Steve Jones was trying to sell his old computer and had a similar email and ran it by me. I've even replied to them asking for their phone number to progress the transaction, as some of them have been quite honest-looking. No reply, as I would expect Rule is don't send any money to anyone until you've seen the colour of their eyes. Saying that I've been trading stuff over the internet for years and have never had any problems. Both of these were advertised on UK Diving. The email is always the same. They are interested in the item, and what to know the price (it was in the advert, can't you read?). They have a British client who owes them £3,000 and they will pay that to my bank account and they will then trust me to send them the balance by WorldPay. same thing with a boat we sold. Apparently the african banking system in some sountries is such that the bank here will tell you their cheque has cleared but then later they and you find it hasn't -so like someone said earlier you give em your goods and pay the shipping costs for doing it ! I took one look at the offer and worked on the adage that if it looks too good to be true it probably is !:( -- wavelength ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Posted via DeeperBlue.net - Your Online Resource for the UnderWater World. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ wavelength's Profile: http://forums.deeperblue.net/member....fo&userid=2853 View this thread on DeeperBlue.net: http://forums.deeperblue.net/showthr...threadid=51484 ----== Posted via Newsfeed.Com - Unlimited-Uncensored-Secure Usenet News==---- http://www.newsfeed.com The #1 Newsgroup Service in the World! >100,000 Newsgroups ---= 19 East/West-Coast Specialized Servers - Total Privacy via Encryption =--- |
