Personally I would rather pay the extra and buy new when they can be
had for 150

I could have been "hoist on my own petard" by another smart arse since
Calypso make the regs, then they could indeed be Calypso's. So I've out
pedanted myself I fear.

Hehe. But they're not Calypso's - they're yours!

Not even that much - just bought one from Go-dive for £125, which I thought
pretty good. Non turret 2st stage +TX40 and a yellow hose - sold as a "pony
regulator". I'm often suprised by how much some kit is 2nd hand - especially
stuff like regs and cylinders which need money spending on them fairly
regularly - perhaps immediately even. That's quite apart from ebay madness
where stuff's often dearer than from a proper shop.

But is that O2 clean? If not then it's not a lot of use for mixes above
40%...

It will cost about £25 to make it O2 clean, so for 150 you get a good
quality deco reg

Well I wouldn't bother if I were you. You've got a reg straight from
the factory that has been manufactured under quality control, and has
exactly the same O rings as an 'O2 clean' one. Why give it to a shop
monkey to rip it apart and put it back together again? Apeks regs work
just fine on 100% O2 straight out of the box.
