Did he do you any harm? He stated that it was a test and to ignore it.
Why did you not ignore it? are you so nosy that you thought you
would miss something if you did not check it out. For what its worth
I have in the past sent test messages to a newsgroup other than test
just to check out that specific group.
Don't be too quick to condemn somebody just because they don't do
every thing to the book like you must obviously do.

know how to operate, a spell checker) Oo.

an example of how test posts *should be* conducted within newsgroups is:

Apologies for testing if this post shows.
When trying to post a reply to a previous message I get an error message
"The newsgroup "uk.rec.scuba" could not be resolved."
testing to see if its only when replying.
If this shows, has anyone any experience of this?

Who or what is a Gordon Henderson ...... Is it a massive insult, childish
and unnecessarily vulgar behaviour or the sound of someone spitting out
their dummy? In the future when we want to sound infantile and stupid, will
we say Gordon Henderson rather as we say Gordon Bennett when we're
frustrated?

Jim

(Popping out tomorrow to get a life, better get one before Gordon tells me
to.)

*I* am Gordon Henderson. I'm, dyslexic and really bad at spelling and
very good at making typos. It really irritates me when people pick faults
in my spelling or grammar made due to my disability, because there is
absolutely no need for it, other than to assume a personal air of holier
than thou smugness.

If you want to replace the exclamation "Gordon Bennet" with "Gordon
Henderson", then go-ahead, make my day!

Gordon

So why don't you click on the spell checker. If you've only got one arm you
don't go in for who can clap their hands together the fastest. Use the
facilities available and stop being so silly. (Whhops sorry Gordon I mean
Silyl)
