| Does anyone know of a dive centre on the south coast of England (pref. between Brighton and Poole, not further east or west) which is a PADI centre, does regular dives at the weekend and actually has some basic facilities, such as the ability to take a shower and change? I wouldn't have thought it was too much, but I'm having a problem finding anything like that. Specifically, I'm looking to do a couple of dives on Saturday 24th July and will be doing other activities with my family afterwards, so need to be able to shower and change. No massage, no powdering, no lobster-thermidor after-dive treats, just some reasonable facilities. Anyone know of such a place? Thanks, Steve |

They're in Poole. Not sure about shower facilities, can't remember seeing anything last time I was there, but they have plenty of space for changing i.e. warm classrooms etc. If they can't help you, they'll point you in the direction of someone who can. | Also try Andark near Southhampton. Years since I've used them but they are a big operator. Keith L |

| Andark have facilities at their Shop site But dont dive near it they run a saturday dive club for more advanced divers and a Sunday Dive club for newer divers. Unles you dive at Horsea which does have facilities The best i can think of is out side your range and is Fathom and Blues in Portland its got on site cafe and large heated changing rooms with a shower etc with loads to do for the family in Weymouth and around and lots of choice for diving with 5 ribs My Dive center (the one i use not my personnel one :) ) is in Christchurch and does also run a dive boat out of their But no facilities at the boat as its at Christchurch Quay. Unles you dive at Horsea which does have >facilities The Sunday dive club is a great idea for newer divers to get experience without having to go it totally alone (i.e a bit line what is offered by an overseas dive centre), and provide suitable dives for OW upwards. Do any other centres offer such a scheme for newer divers? |
