Aren't jokes supposed to be funny? After several attempts, I still can't
work out WTF you're on about!

I think he means your (former?) university's rowing heritage... Although
I can imagine the look on a poor boatman's face when told he has to
manouver a 6m RIB everytime a crew wants to go out.
