| Having a bit of fun with a scammer on UKDiving. He replied to my advert for an Apeks stage regulator which I had for sale for £150. After he emailed me, I emailed him back to say that I've been forced to increase the price 'slightly' to £1500 to cover some misc expenses I've incurred. He's since emailed me back to tell me that he's ok with this 'slight' increase and will send me a cheque for £5000 which he'd like me to take my payment out of an refund him the difference. I've now emailed him back to say that I'm not happy and I want a 'handling charge' of £1000 to cover bank charges. I wonder how far I can push this before he gets pissed off and goes away? The most amusing thing is that I've deliberately not mentioned what the item is that I have for sale - at the moment, he seems to be buying a van from me! |
