Default Re: very wet breathe on poseidon jetstream anyone?

NOTE: I AM NOT A TECH
NOTE: THIS IS USENET
NOTE: YOU CANNOT THROW ME VERY FAR
NOTE: DON'T TRUST ANYBODY OFF USENET AS FAR AS YOU CAN THROW THEM

NOTE: FOLLOW MY INSTRUCTIONS ENTIRELY AT YOUR OWN RISK
NOTE: MY ONLY KNOWLEDGE COMES FROM HAVING JETSTREAM REGS AND TAKING
THEM TO BITS OCCASIONALLY TO FIX PROBLEMS.

Attach the regs to a set and don't turn it on. Now try to breathe the
reg - you shouldn't be able to. If you can, there's a problem with a
seal. If that's the case then it sounds like somebody has been dragging
a set of regs across a beach. First thing to do is remove the front
cover (undo the 4 screws) and check that nothing is caught in the
diaphragm. If it is, remove the big metal "reg" bit from the casing
(otherwise whatever has got caught could damage it on the way out) and
then remove it - I find a gentle prod with a little screwdriver does
the trick.
Also check the mouthpiece (odviously).
When I get home I'll get the manual out and post the bit from the
troubleshooter, but that's the most common problem I have so it's worth
checking.
